Difference, a new North East disability rights charity, created by a group of local disabled people, are seeking a Development Manager.
This is a paid role for 22.5 hours per week and is home based.
They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual, with a broad range of skills and competencies and a commitment to disability rights. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and create and manage a work portfolio with the objective of developing Difference into a high profile voice of disabled people in the North East and change perceptions of disability.
The purpose of the role is to develop the profile of the organisation across communities and professionals in the region, conduct research with disabled people using the website, social media, face to face meets and by engaging with other local disability groups and to be a visible presence in the North East professional and non-professional community, attending relevant regional and local meetings, community events and being seen in public spaces.
