In the wake of the election of the Coalition Government, there were concerns among Disabled people and other social care service users that their voices were not being heard at a time when major reforms in social policy were taking place that specifically impacted them. This report shared the results of a consultation with service users, held in November 2011, on social care reform, documenting concerns that those service users had around continued funding cuts, poor workforce support, hostility toward Disabled people in policy-making and their future involvement in policy-making.
