Read the results of our latest analysis, which asked people about their experiences of emergency departments.
The published survey findings at England and trust level focus on the experiences of people who attended a Type 1 department (a major 24-hour department that is consultant-led). However, for the first time, in 2016 we also surveyed patients who had used a Type 3 department (typically a minor injuries unit or urgent care centre) run directly by an acute NHS trust. A summary of the results for Type 3 departments may be found in the statistical release. No trust level results are available for type 3 Departments.
